Drive quality, diversity and volume of entertainment and event activity across Spectra-managed arena, stadium and theater properties by actively representing and supporting venue management with agents, promoters, producers and content developers and leveraging company-wide resources.


  • Establish and manage key national and regional entertainment and content relationships on behalf of Spectra facilities including artist agents, artist management, concert and sporting event promoters, family show and specialty touring show producers.
  • Develop a comprehensive network and affiliations within the touring industry to support internal flow of up-to-date touring and booking information.
  • Assist Spectra venue management with talent buying, concert/event promoter negotiations to maximize bookings and revenue production.
  • Mentor and develop event sourcing, booking, talent buying and promoting skills of Spectra venue management.
  • Conduct regular booking calls with venue managers with tour routing updates, new event opportunities and ticket sales trends.
  • Assist with market by market new event creation such as radio station shows, themed festivals, community events and other revenue producing concepts.
  • Identify non-ticketed revenue producing booking opportunities (commercial shoots, product launches etc).
  • Represent Spectra in identifying strategic relationships across music, theater and other content producers and promoters.
  • Support Spectra new business development process including participation in client presentations.
  • Provide select consulting clients with event booking support


  • Significant working knowledge and relationships in the music, touring and theater industries.
  • A minimum of 10 years of talent buying and booking experience for arenas, stadiums and theaters/small halls including various music genres.
  • Direct experience in at-risk promoting of concerts/shows including ticket scaling, marketing, production planning, staging, insurance and local support logistics.
  • Strong understanding of the venue management and the venue business model and track record of innovative ideas that drive revenue and profitability.
  • Experience consulting with and coaching internal clients on booking related matters.
  • Ability to travel moderately

Physical demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.

Work environment:

  • The duties of this position are usually performed indoors. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times.
