Overview

Responsible for the marketing of venue events for the XL Center and the Hartford Wolf Pack.

Responsibilities

  • Create and track online advertising campaigns including search, retargeting, & display for the Hartford Wolf Pack
  • Create content, maintain and build social media followings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat for the Hartford Wolf Pack and XL Center
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, including promotional emails, presales, season ticket holder communications, performance analytics, and database maintenance for the Hartford Wolf Pack and XL Center
  • Assist with event planning and execution of games, promotions, and special events
  • Research and implement grassroots and digital marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Update and maintain the Hartford Wolf Pack website; serve as liaison for all website related updates and initiatives
  • Work closely with Group Sales, Food & Beverage, Box Office, Sponsorship Sales staff and other departments on implementation of marketing campaign
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications

Manager of Marketing must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sports/Business Management, or a closely-related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1-2 years marketing experience, preferably in sport and/or entertainment marketing
  • Knowledge of interactive media (including but not limited to website maintenance, online advertising, social media and email marketing)
  • Experience in graphic design and video production, including Adobe Creative Suite, is preferred but not required
  • Excellent technology, communication, organization and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills are a must
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Professional demeanor and energetic personality
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and select holidays, in addition to traditional business hours, is required
