Overview

The Flyers Marketing Department is looking for a creative and driven individual who has a positive attitude and a strong desire to learn and be part of the Flyers culture. The Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to learn and create integral pieces for team marketing campaigns and PR initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to create and assist with team marketing plans and campaigns
  • Learn to create and assist with proofing of all marketing collaterals – print, TV, radio, outdoor, collateral, etc.
  • Conduct extensive marketing research and present findings to the full marketing team
  • Participate in the execution of game night/special event promotions under direction and supervision of Marketing Coordinator
  • Attend community events and publicity stunts under direction and supervision of Marketing Coordinator
  • Write press releases, media advisories, and promotional copy as needed
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be a college junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Media Studies, Marketing, Communications or related field (The internship is PAID, however housing/transportation are the Intern’s responsibility)
  • 3.3 GPA or higher with prior internship experience preferred
  • Willingness to work on game nights and/or weekends as game/event schedule requires
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, and Illustrator
  • Knowledgeable on both Mac and PC
  • Must be a highly detail-oriented, self-motivated communicator who follows direction and functions well in a dynamic environment
  • Experience managing multiple projects, adapting to changing schedules, finishing tasks quickly, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with different design formats for both print and web
  • Portfolio of previous design work or related projects preferred and encouraged
