The Staff Accountant/HR Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Finance and provide accounting, human resource and administrative support to all Spectra Venue Management personnel at the PPL Center. Position will be responsible for managing various accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll reporting and GL entries, closing month end(s), reconciliations, and profit statement reporting. Human Resource and administrative duties include processing payroll, facilitate timekeeping, assuring compliance in basic HR needs throughout the employee life cycle.


  • Reconciliation and processing of Daily Box Office Sales and cash receipts
  • Detail processing of Account Receivables
  • Make collection calls pertaining to open receivables
  • Accounts payable invoice entry and statement reconciliation
  • G/L Entries and Analysis
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Perform basic payroll functions including compile and process bi-weekly payroll and corresponding journal entry, and timekeeping verification
  • Assist Director with monthly close process and annual budget preparation
  • Responsible for venue Human Resources functions including personnel file creation and maintenance, process new hire background checks, provide accurate paperwork, ensure timely processing of new hires, changes and terminations to corporate payroll and HR.
  • Work with employees to resolve basic employment question or concerns with support of department manager, as well and employee disciplinary procedures
  • Assist hiring managers with local recruiting efforts as needed.
  • Monthly meetings with departments to review indirect expenses
  • Variance analysis
  • Work with Director on booking venue events and timely flash report distribution
  • Provide general office and clerical support
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in Accounting
  • High level of proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications, accounting/payroll/HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of Sage 100 or similar accounting software preferred
  • Extensive experience preparing spreadsheets and reports
  • Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines
  • Possess solid working knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Capable of working with all levels of management
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
