  • Overview

    The Cashroom Attendant is responsible for processing, balancing and reporting of cash during events. The employee will assist with preparation of starting banks, balancing of event change orders and other related cash functions.


    • Responsible for the preparation and distribution of event starting banks.
    • Responsible for receiving and balancing event location cash deposits.
    • Distributes and reconciles event change order requests.
    • Responsible for balancing and reconciling the safe.
    • Prepare final event deposits and balance event receipts.
    • Enter receipts into POS system.
    • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
    • May be responsible for employee check in before events.
    • Provide excellent customer service to external and internal guests


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Cash handling and counting experience
    • Three or more years’ high-volume cash handling and counting experience preferred.
    • Retail cashier, banking or similar experience preferred.
    • Basic computer knowledge in a Windows format including typing & email experience
    • Experience with a POS system preferred.
    • Ability to manage cash and other transactions accurately, ethically and responsibly.
    • Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy in high pressure situation and under tight deadlines.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
    • Ability to work a varied part time schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays

    Intellectual/Social demands:

    • While performing duties of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time constraints. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 step) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time.
    • Intermediate ability to communicate verbally, write and read in the English language to communicate with management, customers and co-workers. Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to reconciliation. Ability to use a PC in a Windows format. Use of interpersonal communication skills with co-workers, managers, volunteers and guests. Ability to make sound decisions which demonstrate good judgment with little oversight.   Ability to maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance.

    Physical demands:

    • While performing duties of the job, the employee will constantly be required to grasp, fingering manipulation of product, feeling, and lifting food product. Employee will frequently stoop & kneel to get supplies. Exposure to loud environment event environment and crowded workspaces. Employees will frequently be required to lift up to 30 pounds. Vision requires ability to constantly adjust focus, peripheral vision and close vision to work with customers and handle cash/coins. Long periods of sitting or standing depending on business need.

    Work environment:

    • The duties of this position are performed primarily indoors. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to very loud depending on events in an arena environment with thousands of guests in attendance. Ability to frequently listen & respond to communication with guests and co-workers in a loud event environment. Indoor temperature of work environment varies including chilly (cold) during hockey events.
