  • Overview



    The Concessions Cashier is responsible for greeting guests in a pleasant manner while filling food and beverage orders. The Concessions Cashier will operate the Point of Sale system (Quest) and collect money for purchased food and beverage items.


    The Concessions Cashier must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.





    • Responsible for greeting guests and taking orders for food and beverage products.
    • Responsible for preparing simple foods and beverages utilizing the company recipes and portion standards. Maintain the highest quality standards and portion consistency.
    • Responsible for accepting payment from guests and making change as necessary.
    • Responsible for keeping the work area and surroundings clean using sanitation standards.
    • Responsible for memorizing the product menu available at each concession location.
    • Assist in clean up and break down of the concession area at the end of the each workday.
    • Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
    • Work directly with Stand Leads, Cooks and Cashiers.  
    • Maintain 100% compliance with Alcohol Service policies. Report any alcohol service or compliance issues to Stand Lead immediately.
    • Provide on-going direction, supervision and mentoring to hourly event staff. Monitor product quality and ensure high level of guest service.
    • Follow all Spectra and venue policies and procedures as they relate to guest satisfaction, quality standards, uniform policy, safety, Alcohol service and quality presentation.
    • Insure all staff are in their scheduled placement and that all points of sale are staffed and operational.
    • Willing to cover any open position to assure location is fully operational and company standards pertaining to speed of service and guest satisfaction are met.
    • Ensure work environment is safe and free from harassment or discrimination; immediately address all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents. Relay safety/health issues to management immediately.





    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


    • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, professional and courteous manner which fosters a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
    • Ability to make sound business/operations decisions (i.e. regarding employee placement, staffing adjustments, and/or respond to technical, product or equipment challenges during an event) quickly and under pressure.
    • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
    • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
    • Possess thorough working knowledge of all applicable sanitation requirements, food preparation guidelines, alcohol service policies, safety standards, etc. pertaining to Spectra and venue concession operations.
    • Ability to consistently adhere to the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, ethics and confidentiality.


    Education and Experience:


    • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
