This position is responsible for coordinating and managing conventions, tradeshows and special events with the building staff and partners to assure the proper set-up and smooth operation of events by acting as the primary contact.

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in industry related discipline.
Two to three years of event management experience or related public relations, promotions, etc. required.
Working knowledge of the principles of facility management, services and equipment for a similar facility.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills required.
Good written and verbal skills.
Demonstrate problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work long and irregular hours that may vary due to functions and may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and be internet proficient. Knowledge of event industry software, such as Concentric or Ungerboeck is a plus.
Certified Meeting Professional Certification (CMP) is preferred, but nor required.
