  • Overview

    The Senior Director of Marketing is responsible for the promotion of concerts, sporting events, conventions and shows within the facility, through the development of creative marketing campaigns that promote public/community awareness and management of event advertising budgets and promotions to ensure successful sales for these events. He/she is responsible for maintaining relationships with media and community partners, ensuring fulfillment of contracts, and oversight of the media buying and billing process. This individual will manage, supervise and coordinate all activities and financials of the Marketing, Digital Media, Public Relations, Premium Seating Marketing, and Graphic Design staffs in an effort to reach budget goals and generate revenue for the facility. The Senior Marketing Director is also responsible for maintaining and growing the overall brand of the facility itself.


    • Create, prepare and implement advertising and promotional plans for booked events in effort to maximize awareness and ticket sales
    • Train, evaluate and develop staff through performance appraisal process
    • Develop, monitor and evaluate annual marketing department and design department budgets including projections and reforecasting
    • Work closely with Corporate Sales department to negotiate and maintain promotional partnerships with venue corporate partners
    • Plan and negotiate all paid TV, radio, print, outdoor and digital advertising for various event marketing and facility marketing campaigns
    • Consistent communication with media partners, promoters and entertainment agencies to maintain cooperative, positive relationships
    • Track, analyze and compare event sales information to provide real time event sales reports and financial projections for future events
    • Work directly with other internal departments to implement marketing campaigns, including but not limited to the Box Office, Group Sales, Premium Seating, and tenant teams
    • Manage marketing portion of event settlement packets
    • Oversight of public relations efforts for the facility and events, including the creation of media releases, coordination of interviews and media requests, and the planning and implementation of media events to bring awareness to both the venue and events.
    • Manage venue digital media initiatives, including oversight of venue website, social media channels, and email marketing platforms.
    • Monitoring of both internal and external job requests sent to Graphic Design department to ensure deadlines are met, quality work is provided to clients, and billing process is executed
    • Perform all other duties as required


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum 5 years increasingly responsible marketing experience, preferably in sports/entertainment industry, and including some supervisory responsibility
    • Proficient in data processing, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop preferred
    • Knowledge of web promotions/marketing and media buying preferred
    • Must demonstrate superior communication, organization, and negotiation skills
    • Ability to work nights and weekends as well as travel
