    The Director of Marketing is responsible for the advertising and promotion of events held at Pueblo Memorial Hall and The Pueblo Convention Center including: concerts, plays, conventions, and community events. Other responsibilities include creating collateral, developing promotions, and selling sponsorships.   We are looking for a marketer that is super creative, digitally savvy and can storyboard a funny vine.     Responsibilities

    • Communicate regularly with the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager to discuss new ideas to promote the facility.
    • Assist Sales in closing business through creative proposals, marketing ideas and ad campaigns.
    • Establishes professional relationships with key personnel of the media, including newspapers, magazines, television and radio.
    • Negotiate, close and implement media and promotional agreements for the facilities and events with promoters and media clients.
    • Maintain and create detailed media budgets and settlement reconciliations.
    • Maintain and update our websites and all social media accounts.
    • Creates news releases and feature stories about the facility, our staff, and events held in the facility and distributes to appropriate media.
    • Work with event producer and produce a marketing plan designed to meet customer goals.
    • Writes and produces print ads and digital marketing pieces.
    • Produce facility brochures, print and electronic versions.
    • Sell sponsorships and advertising to appropriate businesses.
    • Actively promote a positive work environment for our associates.
    • Coordinate photographic needs for routine, as well as special events, documentation and promotional purposes.
    • Engage and attend local community events to promote the Convention Center and Memorial Hall
    • Ability to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
    • Ability to take verbal and written direction.
    • All other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing

    Qualifications

    • Excellent oral communication skills.
    • Strong background in written communication such as, letters, press releases, and articles. Must also have great proof reading skills.
    • The ability to work well with others, including clients, associates, and business partners, the media, and the public.
    • Excellent planning, organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and additional design experience.
    • Creative and innovative abilities
    • A sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines/ Ability to multi-task.
    • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or advertising capacity
    • Demonstrated experience in a public relations capacity.
    • Sales Experience preferred
    • Ability to travel as required – estimated 1 to 2 timers per year.
    • Project Management Experience.
