    The Director of Facility Finance will be responsibility for training, development and driving performance of Director of Finance and Accounting Managers in Spectra Venue Management managed facilities.  The position is Philadelphia based, with up to 10 – 25% travel required.

    Responsibilities

    • Supports facilities in their day to day accounting needs.
    • Directs activities of the Regional Finance Directors
    • Insures proper accounting in managed facilities
    • Leads efforts to assess and rectify problems in locations as needed.
    • Works with RVP and DSVP on client relations
    • Directs the Field Finance Manager and Internal Audit initiatives
    • Holds training sessions for new field finance staff
    • Assists GM and other department heads in developing finance acumen.
    • Monitor Sage accounting system.
    • Assists in the transition of new facilities to Spectra Venue Management.
    • Trains new Director of Finance and Accounting Managers through financial statement preparation.
    • Ensure that monthly financial statements meet company standards for content/format and are consistently completed and submitted on time.
    • Have the ability to “step in” and perform any of the duties by a vacant position without an adverse effect to the venue as a whole.
    • Monitors venue management compliance with management contract.
    • Identify financial reporting process improvements, recommend process enhancements and implement process enhancements.
    • Subject Matter Expert to assist Directors of Finance with any financial reporting issues, challenges or questions.
    • Safeguard company assets through close monitoring of accounting procedures;
    • Review and develop action plans stemming from external and internal audits with Director of Finance and General Managers.
    • Other projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

     

    • Thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles, standards and practices.
    • High level of proficiency with computers, Microsoft applications Experience with Sage 100, Biznet, ADP a plus. Extensive experience in Excel preparing spreadsheets and reports.
    • Consistent and reliable attention to detail, accuracy and validity.
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing, environment. Must work well under pressure of deadlines.
    • Ability to interact with a diverse spectrum of individuals calmly, professionally, supportively.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to delegate tasks efficiently and develop staff to next level.
    • Strong leadership and coaching skills. Flexible personality to deal with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Ability to adhere to highest standards of ethics, integrity, professionalism, and discretion. Ability to execute solid management decisions quickly and efficiently. 
    • Ability and willingness to work extended hours (i.e. evenings, weekends, and holidays), as frequently required by event or business necessity.
    • Ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with company and business contacts.
    • Assist with budget process, review and upload to Sage.
    • Have excellent training and mentoring skills using a variety of styles and methods.
    • Must be accomplished in technology to host webinars and other online training.
    • Have the ability to travel 10-25%
    • Be skilled at self-management to work autonomously with minimal direction.

     

     

    Education and Experience:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree with course work in Accounting.
    • Minimum of 10 years accounting experience with supervisory responsibilities.
    • Demonstrated successful training of others.
