  • Overview

    Works closely with the SVP of Sales and Director of Sales.  Coordinates activities of the Philadelphia Flyers and Philadelphia Wings Ticket Sales Departments.  Assists with inter-departmental activities and the development of sales/service staff programs.  Handles special projects as assigned.

    Responsibilities

     

    • Supports all other Ticket Sales Department leaders with departmental communications and project coordination.
    • Work with the Ticket Office to create invoices
    • Hires and manages all departmental interns
    • Assist with coordinating internal sales programs including Open Houses, Meet and Greets, and Group Events (Pre/Post games, Concourse Performances, Competitions, and Career Days, etc.)
    • Handles all game-day catering requests for sales initiatives including pre-game meetings, club box and Private club parties
    • Gathers swag incentives for sales team before games
    • Responsible for overseeing check-in table for hospitality events on game nights
    • Researches and orders all sales items and gifts
    • Orders all inventory for autographed items (sticks, pucks, etc.)
    • Manages all sales item inventory and rep allotments for client gifts
    • Makes arrangements for outside and external Account Executive/Sales Associate activities.
    • Coordinates all in-game staff activities including club box parties and sales tables.
    • Serves as liaison between Sales Department and Marketing/ Community Relations for all group initiative nights and ticket promotions
    • Handles all operations/ building requests for meetings and group sales initiatives
    • Tracks all in-game actives and dark-day ice on the asset grid
    • Liaison between the Game Pres department and rep assets for all games (sound systems, set up, security, etc.)
    • Works with Game Presentation on in game sales messages
    • Arranges all travel for department
    • Collects and tracks all vacation usage
    • Handles scheduling and administrative duties for VP of Sales
    • Handles all departmental filing.
    • Assists in tracking departmental budget.
    • Handles special projects related to the department as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree from an accredited college/university in related field required
    • Familiarity with Paciolan and Salesforce.com (CRM) preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook is required
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language required
    • Ability to manage numerous business relationships in a professional manner
    • Superior time management and organizational skills

    • Aggressive, competitive, and dedicated attitude
    • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed, in addition to traditional business hours

    • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame.  This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.

    Physical demands:

    • While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets and office machinery; constantly moves about the arena and event sites before, during and after events to service clients and supervise staff; constantly communicates via telephone, email and in-person with others to exchange accurate information.

    Work environment:

    • The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-even times.
