    This position is based at the Ted Constant Convocation Center at Old Dominion University.   The Ted Constant Convocation Center on the campus of Old Dominion University is a 9,000 seat multi-purpose arena.  The venue is the home to Old Dominion University basketball and the best live entertainment in the Hampton Roads region.  The Constant Center consistently ranks among the top venues in the world annually and hosts a variety of concerts, family shows, sporting events, conventions and community events.  We take pride in creating GREAT experiences for all of our guests.

     

    The Group Sales & Premium Services Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Director of Sales with daily administrative tasks associated with the Sales and Marketing departments and overseeing all Premium Services at the Ted Constant Center and S.B. Ballard Football Stadium.

    Responsibilities

    Group Sales/Marketing Department

    • Responsible for supporting the Group Sales department in all aspects of sales and marketing for events offering group sales. Includes fulfilling group sales orders, printing tickets, mailings, departmental customer service and flyer creation
    • Conduct proactive outbound call campaign for events offering suites and group sales. Typically 20-30 outbound calls each day to sell suite and group tickets
    • Creation and implementation of sales/marketing related collateral pieces
    • Conduct research for group sales/marketing projects and new group prospecting
    • Maintain and develop group categories in database
    • Event day responsibilities as required to include evenings and weekends servicing the groups in attendance
    • Perform other duties and projects related to the department as assigned

    Premium Seating Responsibilities:

    • Manages the servicing and operation activities for premium/suite department for all TCCC Arena Events, ODU Football and ODU Basketball
    • Develop annual club/suite level servicing plan with focus on servicing premium service clients at all Constant Center events, along with developing ticketing packages for concerts and family shows
    • Serves as the liaison for accounts to purchase additional tickets for all football and basketball, and third party events held at the TCC and to Aramark
    • Service current accounts in an effort to further develop client relationships
    • Support Director of Sales in premium department daily tasks and activities
    • Create order forms, collateral, and quarterly newsletters for premium seating clients
    • Educate Suite Administrators on how to utilize Online Food and Beverage Ordering Software
    • Plan and execute special events for premium seating clients
    • Maintain, and effectively communicate with, Premium Seating customer database on a regular basis
    • Create system to notify Premium Seating customers of events, and solicit ticket sales for events from Premium Seating clients
    • Fill out order forms for, process payment for, and deliver/ship tickets for events to Premium Seating clients
    • Create and maintain system for post-event follow-up for Premium Seating clients
    • Fulfill donation requests from non-profit organizations
    • Actively prospect for new premium seating clients through newspapers, internet, brochures, etc.
    • Participate in events, promotions, client entertainment and other activities as required
    • Closely plans, coordinates cost and pricing on menu selections for Suite/Stadium Catering events.
    • Attempt to achieve first-contact resolution of client issues to ensure they are resolved quickly and effectively.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Communications, Sports/Business Management or a related field 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner 
    • Graphic design ability
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Must be detailed-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple assignments and projects in a fast passed environment
    • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as job duties involve non-traditional hours
