    As part of the Venues and Events team and reporting to the Senior Director of Venues & events, the position of National Stadium Director will lead the day-to-day and event operations of South East Asia’s leading stadium facility.  Working closely with stakeholders, partners venue hirers and the community at large, the chosen candidate will perform a key role in ensuring safe and successful delivery of venue and event operations and creating a memorable experience for venue patrons.

    • Lead a team of Venue and Event Managers to coordinate all aspects of stadium operations.
    • Serve as the key representative to venue hirers and support hirers in execution of their events.
    • Liaise with government stakeholders such as Sport Singapore, Singapore Police Force, and various ministries to ensure that contract and regulatory requirements are met.
    • Liaise with internal consortium partners as the representative on behalf of the Operating Contractor at the National Stadium.
    • Using the Green Guide (Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds) as a reference, oversee the development of event operating plans and risk assessments to ensure crowd safety and experiences are maximised.
    • Manage the operations of the Event Control Room, acting as overall in charge of the venue during event days.
    • Develop and implement review processes after events to continually improve the operations of the stadium.
    • Improve and manage operational procedures, conduct surveys and make recommendations for improvement of services. Analyse problems and make recommendations for improvements.
    • Use knowledge and initiatives during planning and execution of events for a safe and welcoming environment for hirer and patrons.
    • Manage financials to ensure that event P&L is on target or better, and that annual operating budget is planned and spent effectively.
    • Understand the operations of partners in Turf, Facility Management and ICT to ensure that hirers are able to maximise the use of venue facilities, and that they are used in a cost effective manner.
    • Have an excellent knowledge of the venue and provide site information to clients, customers and staff as needed.
    • Monitor venue performance and operations, produce reports as required by management or clients.
    • Prepare documentation and information for staff, management, promoters and clients to enable them to effectively service all client groups entering the SSH.
    • Ensure that health and safety policies and regulations are adhered to and reflected positively through your actions and those of your colleagues.



    • Bachelor’s degree or better from an accredited college or university is preferred but not essential.
    • Additional industry specific designations preferred.
    • Minimum of 8+ years’ experience in the events, sports or leisure industries, with prior stadium or arena experience seen as essential.

    • Understanding of concert production requirements such as lighting, power, rigging, sound, staging, crowd flows and pedestrian flows etc.
    • Ability to apply conflict resolution and problem-solving skills in a diverse environment.
    • Is a proactive team player and prepared to support the endeavours of the wider collective.
    • Thinks laterally, sources creative solutions in the face of unique challenges in a high paced, dynamic and fast moving environment.
    • Ability to express ideas clearly through both oral and written communication with strong attention to details.


    • Working hours are either 8:30AM to 6:00PM or 9:00AM to 6:30PM, Monday to Friday. Unique morning/evening and weekend hours will be required for event times.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
