    This position is based at our Iowa Events Center. The Iowa Events Center features a variety of flexible spaces to host events of all types and sizes. The Iowa Events Center is a unique combination of three venues under one roof: Wells Fargo Arena, Hy-Vee Hall, and Community Choice Credit Union Convention Center. The complex is flexible to meet the needs of events of all types and sizes. It is well-suited for conventions, meetings, tradeshows, sporting, social and entertainment events from 10,000–17,100 people.     The Premium Seating Coordinator will assist the Spectra Partnerships team with service and retention of all current and future Club, Loge and Suite clients at the Iowa Events Center.  The Coordinator is responsible for timely and accurately processing all ticket orders/payments for Premium Seating clients.  The position will oversee logistics with in-house building partners to ensure exceptional experience for our premium/group clients in all areas of their visit.  Additionally, they will assist in prospecting new business clients and sales opportunities for Premium Seating areas.

    Responsibilities

    • Act as representative of the Spectra Partnerships team for over 500 Club, Loge and Suite accounts
    • Assist in overseeing premium seating areas during events (approximately 125 per year)
    • Coordinate VIP will call for all events and ensure smooth distribution of tickets
    • Participate in and provide feedback at weekly meetings for past/upcoming events
    • Train and direct the work of event staff during shows in the following areas: Club, Loge, and Suites; additionally, act as liaison for all event needs in the building.
    • Building liaison between all premium seating clients and Spectra Food and Hospitality personnel.
    • Responsible for creating and sending event announcements to premium seating clients
    • Process all ticket orders and payments for premium seating clients in an accurate and timely manner
    • Facilitate distribution of event tickets to premium seating clients; as well as season tickets coordination/distribution for in-house tenants (Iowa Wild, Iowa Wolves and Iowa Barnstormers)
    • Assist Premium Seating Manager in pursuing and booking suite rentals, processing payments and providing information regarding upcoming rental opportunities to the rental contact list
    • Create and implement a sales plan and rental packages for family shows as directed by Premium Seating Manager
    • Assist in new client prospecting for both premium seating and corporate sponsorship
    • Manage Premium Seating and Sponsorship web pages on Iowa Events Center website and specialized CRM (ex. Salesforce).
    • Communicate problems and proposed solutions to the Premium Seating for proficient client servicing
    • Submits regular activity reports and performs related duties as required
    • Develop and maintain productive relationships with both established clients and foster with prospective and new clients
    • Create and maintain Premium Seating Handbook
    • Exercise discretion and utilize independent decision making during events that will best represent the Iowa Events Center and serve the client.
    • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal/external clients and Exemplify the Great Experience philosophies

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree with major coursework in business administration, analytics, or related field
    • Demonstrated knowledge of sales techniques and practices
    • Knowledge of analytics and reporting practices
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing
    • Ability to safely and accurately handle and account for large sums of money
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations with courtesy and tact when dealing with the public and promoters
    • Excellent computer and data manipulation skills; including advanced experience with software such as Microsoft Office, including Excel highly desired
    • Knowledge of Spectra Ticketing highly desired.
    • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
