Reporting to the Director of Events, the Event Coordinator will manage every aspect of their assigned events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event and event settlement. In addition to coordinating assigned events, this position will also be responsible for scheduling, supervision and payroll for all part time staff for every event in the venue and for assisting in development and implementation of all event department policies, programs and procedures. The Event Coordinator is responsible for communication with contracted agencies to insure proper staffing levels are met for each and every event.
Under general supervision from the Technical Services Manager, the Technical Services Technician is responsible for all telephone/data services for the business office and events scheduled at the facility.
This internship will work closely with the Marketing/Public Relations Department to learn and participate in publicizing the facility and/or events through a variety of traditional and non-traditional means for the purpose of selling tickets, booking meeting facilities, and creating public awareness for the Ted Constant Convocation Center.
Oversees the general preparation of all food. Responsible for measuring, mixing, and cooking food according to recipes. Regulates all equipment and food supplies that are used. Also helps in the planning of meals and developing menus.
Under limited supervision, directs the operation of the box office functions, procedures and personnel for Spectra at the VSU Multi-Purpose Center.
The Data Entry & Traffic Assistant will work out of the Wells Fargo Center, and will service the Graphic Design & Print department. This position is responsible for providing clients and management with clear, timely, and accurate information surrounding design and print production projects. Understanding and utilizing the design job tracking database is a key factor in this role, along with the ability to gather all financial elements and associated information for the billing of design and print projects.
The Prep Cook assists in preparing and production of food for the venue at catered functions. Responsible for set-up, sanitation, cleaning and closing of workstation area. Employees will work in an ever changing, fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work and event based schedule.
Provides event and building maintenance, including, but not limited to HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and ice maintenance.
The Food Runner, also known as expeditors or server assistants, is responsible communication between the Front of House and Back of House in the Restaurant & Suites. This position is to deliver food to guests in a friendly, professional & knowledgeable manner and support the Restaurant & Suites with other duties as directly. This employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work a flexible schedule including nights & weekends.
The Senior Event Manager will manage every aspect of all events from the advance planning stages through the end of the event; occasionally hire, train, schedule and supervise all event staff, as well as oversee building and parking security and interact with local public safety officials to ensure events run smoothly; coordinate communication between event staff and delegate assignments; be responsible for and ensure overall customer and lessee satisfaction and experience.
Parking Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who assists in direction of customers in and around the Iowa Events Center parking lots during events.
The warehouse employee is responsible for the receipt and storage of all food, beverage and related product and equipment received at Iowa Events Center in Wells Fargo Arena. The inventory and security of all items is under the control of these employees. Employees must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event based schedule.
The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for serving guests quality food and beverage following the company’s standard recipes. The Kitchen Supervisor will prepare and cook meats, soups and sauces and supervise all other aspects of the food and beverage operation. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the training of all kitchen staff.
This position will work with the Marketing Director to promote the facilities and events while creating and maintaining relationships with media and promotional partners. The Marketing Manager will assist in advertising, media buying, promotions, public relations and grassroots efforts for events as assigned.
The Premium Sales Executive is primarily responsible for selling Luxury Suites and Club Box Seating on multi-year contracts as well as other premium inventory for the Wells Fargo Center. The Premium Sales Executive should be a professional, self-motivated, positive individual. The Premium Sales Executive will work under the guidance of the Director of Suites and Premium Seating.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the execution\service of all catered events. The Food & Beverage Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever- changing fast-paced environment. The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist the Food and Beverage Manager with projects including training, inventory and special events.
The Food & Beverage Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.
Represents the Skate Zone as initial contact for prospective clients and the general public both on the phone and in person. Receptionist will also assist guests with event information and or route necessary calls to appropriate personnel.
The Changeover Supervisor provides direct supervision to the changeover for facility functions for all events.
